Hannah is a dedicated student with a strong interest in medical anthropology, aspiring to research the socioeconomic dimensions of medicine and healthcare worldwide. Inspired by her experiences watching her grandparents live with Alzheimer’s disease, she has long been drawn to understanding not only the illness itself but also its broader impact on families and society. Hannah has conducted research on underrepresented voices in various communities, focusing on the societal implications of healthcare systems. She has taken multiple courses that explore perspectives from women and individuals in underprivileged areas, deepening her awareness of healthcare disparities.
These experiences have also shaped her creative expression; through film and photography, she interprets society’s relationship with healthcare and illness from an abstract and interpretive lens. Her work has earned several Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and recognition from festivals like the All-American High School Film Festival. In her free time, Hannah enjoys writing and playing the trumpet, and she loves to read, incorporating her creative writing with insights from personal experience and academic inquiry.
